CITY TO SUMMIT CHARITY ROAD RALLY is a high-energy community adventure benefiting San Diego area charities. Set against the backdrop of scenic coastal highways, winding mountain roads, and hidden backcountry routes, this rally brings together drivers, families, friends, and community teams for a shared journey where every mile creates impact. Taking place on weekends from Saturday, July 11 through Sunday, August 24, 2026, the City to Summit experience turns San Diego County into a connected network of adventure routes and purpose-driven checkpoints. Participants launch from multiple starting points across the county, with scheduled departures at 10:30 AM or 12:30 PM, making it flexible for different teams and schedules. Each rally features 3 to 4 interactive checkpoints over approximately 5 hours, blending exploration, teamwork, and surprise moments into one unforgettable journey.
Teams of 2–6 participants travel together, solving challenges, completing mini scavenger hunts, and earning points along the way. Every checkpoint is designed to create energy and interaction, featuring puzzles, activities, hydration stations, snacks, and purpose-driven moments that highlight the mission of supporting local San Diego charities. All vehicles are welcome, making the experience accessible for families, clubs, and community groups of all kinds.
THE RALLY EXPERIENCE

Participants travel across San Diego County from coastal roads to mountain terrain, completing a guided 75-mile route filled with checkpoints, challenges, hidden clues, and discovery moments. The journey ends at Hideout Mountain above Lake Henshaw in Santa Ysabel, where a sunset summit celebration brings all teams together.

Road Rally San Diego 2026
EVERY MILE MATTERS

Participants can choose either an Easy Explorer or Off-Road route featuring 3–4 interactive checkpoints for approximately five hours of driving and engagement time. The adventure begins at participating dealerships and community hubs with music, refreshments, giveaways, sponsor activities, team check-in, and rally packet pickup before vehicles depart in organized waves.
This is not a race—it's an interactive journey designed for teams of 2–6 people. Along the way, participants solve challenges, complete scavenger hunts, earn points, and discover unique destinations throughout the county. Each checkpoint features activities, puzzles, snacks, hydration stations, and opportunities to support local San Diego charities. All vehicles are welcome, making the event perfect for families, friends, clubs, and community groups.
The day concludes with a sunset summit celebration featuring food, music, scenic views, prizes, and community connection. Participants can earn instant prizes throughout the rally and continue accumulating points for up to 14 days after their rally event by exploring additional locations, test-driving vehicles, and completing bonus challenges for even bigger rewards.
